Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is ads.txt required?

While not technically required, it's highly recommended. Many premium advertisers require it, and missing ads.txt can reduce your fill rate by 5-15% and decrease your overall revenue.

Q: What happens if I don't install it?

Some advertisers will refuse to bid on your inventory, potentially reducing your revenue. It also makes your site vulnerable to domain spoofing and unauthorized reselling.

Q: How often should I update it?

Check this page monthly, or whenever you get notified of network changes. If PubDragons adds or removes ad networks, you'll need to re-download and re-upload the file.

Q: Can I add my own entries?

Yes! If you use other ad platforms outside of PubDragons, you can add their ads.txt lines to the same file. Just add them on new lines below the PubDragons entries.

Q: How do I verify it's working?

Simply visit yourdomain.com/ads.txt in your browser. You should see the plain text content. You can also use the verification links in "My Websites" section above.
